We use only local, dry aged, grass fed beef. Our crab meat is locally, Maryland sourced. All Blue Crabs come directly from local waters.
We are focused on a community centric experience; the people, the product, the proteins. Our goal is to start and remain local.
Our Story
Tucked along the south-eastern edge of Kent Island, the Kentmorr community has long been shaped by life on the Chesapeake Bay — a laid-back corner of Maryland’s Eastern Shore known for its marina, nearby airpark, local seafood, and easy connection to the water. With transient slips welcoming boaters from across the Bay, Kentmorr has remained a place where people come to slow down, gather with friends, and enjoy the shore at their own pace.
At Channel Side, we hope to carry that tradition forward — offering fresh Eastern Shore cuisine, local ingredients, strong drinks, and a welcoming place to relax after a day on the water, a flight to the island, or an evening watching the sunset on the Bay.

Raised on Kent Island, Ryan’s culinary journey began at Kentmorr where he first learned the value of great food, hard work, and genuine hospitality. After building his career and earning professional culinary credentials, he’s returned to the waterfront where it all started, bringing with him years of experience and a renewed passion for showcasing the flavors of the Chesapeake.
His philosophy is simple: exceptional food starts with exceptional ingredients. By sourcing fresh, local products whenever possible and preparing every dish from scratch, Chef Ryan creates a menu that honors the traditions of the Eastern Shore while embracing modern culinary techniques and creative influences.
